Yesterday our photographer Pepa Hristova presented her project "Sworn Virgins" in the German cultural TV program "ttt" (titles, thesis, temperaments). You can watch the video in the ARD mediathek (unfortunately only in german)

Jörg Brüggemann has been working on a project on globalized Heavy Metal culture. In February he travelled to Indonesia to portray the local Metal scene with the help of a VG BildKunst scholarship. In the following interview Dawin Meckel asked him why he went there and what he experienced. 
"Sibylle" listed among the most popular magazines in the GDR. From 1956 to 1990 it was published every two months in an edition of 200.000 copies, which used to run immediately out of stock. Until 1995 it was available all over Germany. The magazine's success is referred to its aspiration to combine fashion, photography and culture.
Three of OSTKREUZ' founding members, Sibylle Bergemann, Ute and Werner Mahler, are among the photographers who shaped the particular aesthetics of the magazine. 
Our office has a new addition. Marco Dorn is our new apprentice and we would like to introduce him with a short profile.

Another interview regarding "The City". Like the other interviews before they were realized by the department for picture editors at the "OSTKREUZ School of Photography". Our photographer Anne Schoenharting talks about her experiences and pictures about the planned and "perfect" international city of Auroville in India.
