    Youth consecration on the countryside, punks and May parades in East Berlin, dance and nostalgia in Clärchens Ballhaus: The exhibition "OSTZEIT" evokes a country that no longer exists, even if its traces still surround many of us day per day.
    50 years after the construction of the Wall, the OSTKREUZ group exhibition is shown in Cottbus. Our photographers Ute Mahler, Werner Mahler and Harald Hauswald will hold an artist talk on 20 October.

    OSTKREUZ photographers Dawin Meckel and Julian Röder have been awarded this year´s European Architectural Photography Prize. The exhibition „Dazwischen | in between“ diplays works by the awardees and is now on show in Stuttgart.

  • Werner and Ute Mahler - award ceremony and exhibition

    Ute and Werner Mahler were awarded this year's "Kunstpreis Fotografie" by Lotto Brandenburg for their "Mona Lisas of the suburbs". The award ceremony will be held on 15 September 2011 at Haus der Brandenburgisch-Preußischen Geschichte in Potsdam. Starting on 16 September, the work will be shown at Potsdam's Kunsthaus sans titre.

    Between city and countryside, between being a child and being a woman: for their project "Mona Lisas of the suburbs" Ute and Werner Mahler photographed girls in transition.  They have selected thirty of these portraits for a book that can now be ordered in our OSTKREUZ-Store.
