FOTODOKS 2011 is opening its doors for the fourth time. This year's edition of the festival deals with the tension between credibility and sensationalism in documentary photography.
Two OSTKREUZ members are among the 16 photographers that have been selected for the festival exhibition "UNGLAUBLICH – INCREDIBILE". Heinrich Voelkel exhibits his series "The Terrible City - Gaza 2009", Julian Roeder shows "World of Warfare", pictures of the arms fair in Abu Dhabi.

In screenings, speeches and panels, the present and future of author photography in Germany and this year´s guest country Italy will be discussed. On friday, OSTKREUZ photographer Maurice Weiss will speak with four other experts about actuality and relevance in documentary photography.
