Fidel Castro resigned. But it's to be awaited if many people will dare to criticize his lifework - the continuous socialistic revolution. There raises hope for a more pragmatic and less ideologic acting of the coming regime. But people realize more and more that the promises of the revolution aren't fulfilled and their business situation isn't improved - the contrary is the case. Nevertheless the positive attitude to life overbalances - shaped by music, dance and love for their country - and defines and enriches the life of the majority of the Cubans. OSTKREUZ-photographer Espen Eichhoefer and "Air"-reporter Frank Lorenz went on a trip to Cuba and experienced how the Cubans cope with their everyday life on this dream island of all Caribbean tourists, on this unique island of socialism.
