Elliott Kreyenberg

Profile

Elliott Kreyenberg
* 1999 – based in Berlin

Elliott Kreyenberg’s photographic practice operates at the intersection of documentary image-making and artistic expression. He uses photography as a means of visualizing emotional worlds and deliberately challenging habitual patterns of perception. For his independent projects, he works across Europe, currently with a particular focus on Ukraine.

Kreyenberg’s current work explores the social construction of masculinity. His images condense experiences of intimacy, vulnerability, and violence into visual narratives shaped by the imprint of patriarchal systems.

As a documentary and portrait photographer, Kreyenberg works internationally for ZEIT Magazin, Der Spiegel, Republik, and Marianne. He also works as a still photographer for film and television productions, including the series Die Zweiflers, which won the award for Best Series at Canneseries in 2024.

Elliott Kreyenberg (*1999 in Cologne) lives and works in Berlin. In 2024, he completed his studies at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie under Ute Mahler and Irina Ruppert.

His project Something Was Missing Within received the Dummy Award at the Athens Photo Festival and was published as a photobook by Witty Books in 2025. His most recent work, A Survival Paradox, created in Ukraine, was published in ZEIT Magazin.
