Six artistic positions illuminate the question of legal and illegal images - between social taboo, social relevance and artistic freedom. Espen Eichhöfer's work "A to B" is also part of the exhibition.

The dialogical exhibition "Kein schöner Land" contrasts the comprehensive work "Kleinstadt" by Ute Mahler and Werner Mahler with the series "Hinterland" by Hans-Christian Schink. In the emphatically unagitated and carefully compiled photographs, the exhibition attempts to question the potential of concepts such as small town or hinterland in the sense of a utopian concept of home based on Ernst Bloch.

The exhibition "UNSEEN / UNGESEHEN" shows four different views of Europe from four female photographers on their travels. Mila Teshaieva shows photographs taken in the rural regions of Albania and in former industrial cities in eastern Germany. The exhibition was initiated by the Goethe Institute Milan.

The group exhibition "Framing Identity" deals with the question of what moves people of Generation Y today and takes a current, photographic look at their search for identity and at existing role models. Ute Mahler, Werner Mahler and Maurice Weiss.

What images do we keep of the fall of the Wall thirty years later? The exhibition "A City between Times" brings together three independent photographic works. With "Living Together" Ute Mahler draws a private panorama of the former GDR society. Werner Mahler captured the events of 9 November and Maurice Weiss captured the beginning of the 1990s, when the city of Berlin underwent a transformation. Maurice Weiss will be present at the vernissage.

30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the 22 photographers of the agency OSTKREUZ have been invited for a personal inventory of Germany. They photographed, each in their own way, a theme that seems to them emblematic of today's Germany. A sensitive look at German society in 2019, as well as a unique, experimental encounter between photography and television. At the beginning of the evening there will be an introduction by director Paul Ouazan (Atelier de recherche d'ARTE France) and OSTKREUZ photographer Jörg Brüggemann. The exhibition "The Medea Uprising: Radical Women Artists behind the Iron Curtain" shows works by Eastern European women artists who expressed their dissatisfaction with the authoritarian system before 1989 in their works, which have references to ancient mythology. Sibylle Bergemann's photographs are part of this exhibition.

The exhibition "Von Menschen und Mauern - 30 Jahre nach dem Fall der Berliner Mauer" shows various artistic works on the Berlin Wall, its opening and slow disappearance. The perspectives of the participating artists show dividing lines and boundaries between the excluded and the included, and illuminate the relationship between man and political power. Ute Mahler and Werner Mahler show in their work "Wo die Welt zu Ende war" that there is not much more to be seen of the horror.

We are very happy that Johanna-Maria Fritz won the first German Peace Prize for Photography with her series "Like a bird"! This prize was awarded for the first time as part of the "Felix Schoeller Photo Award".

Sibylle Bergemann's photographs can be seen until the end of this week in the group exhibition "Walking through Walls". On the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the exhibition examines power structures based on division and division.

Die Kunsthalle Rostock zeigt die Ausstellung „Palast der Republik. Utopie, Inspiration, Politikum“, in der Harald Hauswald mit drei Fotografien vertreten ist. Die Ausstellung „Autobahn“ im Galerieraum von Hartmann Projects im Galerienhaus in Stuttgart widmet sich in vier zeitgenössischen Positionen u.a. der Ästhetik der Autobahn.
